There is so much to celebrate!
Festivity in the air
It’s that time of the year when we can smell the festivity around. With so many festivals being celebrated across India and Diwali just knocking our doors, the whole breeze around is so mystical.
The time when we want to step into the traditional world of ‘Bharat’. From celebrating Ganesha to Durga Puja to Navratri to Dandiya, we have them all! During this time we wish to step into every tradition and make a connection with the community, with their rituals, with their festivity and with their culture. We just forget the caste, creed or religion and celebrate the happiness, the togetherness.
With so many rituals, puja, lights and decoration, the whole aura around is so divine. And to further enhance the flavour we have colourful traditional attires, sweets, flowers and gifts. Surely, festivals give us a reason to be happy and enjoy life.
Big Bull on my mind!
Scam 1992 OMG! I never knew I would have this irresistible urge to write about the web series which I happened to recently watch, ‘Scam 1992- The Harshad Mehta Story’ on Sony Liv. Guys, don’t go by the title literally, I meant here ‘THE Pratik Gandhi on my mind’.I am totally in awe of the lead actor Pratik Gandhi. The 10-episode series is around the life of famed stockbroker Harshad Mehta who took the stock market to rapid heights and his disastrous downfall as a result of committing fraud.
Waking up early makes a difference!
Hot Mess
Morning alarm We are in a nuclear setup and a family of four, me, my husband and two notorious kids. The other day I was put to question by my husband as to why I still get up an hour before anyone else in the house? He further suggested that since we all are working from home and there is no rush for school or office or grocery or any other thing for that matter, then why do I still have to haste for things? Another word of advice was since I have my whole day at my disposal, I can take up things little slow and easy and instead take an extra hour of sleep?
That made me ponder and I decided to alter my morning alarm to get the taste of the new morning routine, as guided by my affectionate husband.
How I wish for a day, To Do Nothing!
New Normal While we all are floating in the same boat of ‘New Normal’ and busy tacking between work from home and work for home; work for kids or work around kids; cleaning the house or cleaning the utensils; meditating or watching tv; me time or sleep time…Aahhhh…..and the list goes on.
We have hundreds of things in mind when we get up from the bed or when we call it a day. Do this or do that, do right now or later, is this important or if this can wait. We surely are one skilled multitasker. Don’t you think?
However, amid this perpetual juggle, there are days when I want to do nothing, I mean just nothing. Yes, you read that right! Do you also feel the same at times?

A Homemaker-Mother
Stay at home mom This is a story of my mother, a common mother with whom most of the millennials can relate to. A standard middle-class family with two kids, a businessman father and a homemaker, my mother. Life of my mother started with her parents, grown up in a business class family, got married at an early age, ordinary arrange marriage wherein the boy and a girl had never met before. Fortunately, stars used to be in favour of the couples then and most of the marriages used to turn out successful. So was the case with my parents. Is this your Lockdown story too?
